CARPENTER / HANDYMAN - Starting pay $20-$23/hr
ROLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Perform duties assigned by lead
-
Drywall Repair
-
Painting
-
Trim work
-
Install vinyl flooring
-
Install ceramic/porcelain tile
-
Install batt insulation
-
Install windows and doors
-
Basic electrical repair
-
Basic plumbing repairs
-
Demo
-
Operate equipment/tools (Saws, Impacts, Drills, etc).
-
Knowledge of hand tools
-
Take care of tools
-
Communicates respectfully and effectively customers
-
Communicates respectfully and effectively with supervisor and co-workers
-
Solve problems and makes good decisions
-
Purchase materials and use company credit cards/accounts responsibly

BASELINE QUALIFICATIONS:
The residential construction knowledge and skills essential to perform the functions of the position.
Education and/or Experience
-
Knowledge of residential construction (drywall, painting, flooring, trim, framing, basic electricity, and basic plumbing).
-
Valid driver’s license or State ID
-
Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Columbus metro area and Fairfield County
-
2-years related experience or training
-
No prior felony convictions or history of drug abuse
Language / Communication Skills

Good Listening Skills.

Willing to Learn
-
Effective communication with team members customers, subcontractors, etc.

Have an idea or solution if a problem arises
Mathematical Skills

Math (Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide)

Be able to read a tape measure

Tools Requirements/Clothing Attire

Clothes with no large holes, no cut off shirts, no vulgar or offensive graphics, not loose fitting.

Work shoes that provide cushion and support, preferably steel toe

Tool Belt (capable of holding screws, nails, hammer, pliers, tape measure, utility knife, Square, Chalk line.)
ENSURES A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT:
